Surgical Services
General Surgeries
We offer a wide range of general surgical procedures to keep your pet healthy and comfortable. This includes routine desexing and wound repairs, as well as ear and eye surgeries to address infections, injuries, or congenital conditions. Our experienced veterinary team ensures that every procedure is performed with the highest standards of care, using modern anaesthetic and pain management techniques to keep your pet safe and comfortable.
Soft Tissue Surgeries
Our soft tissue surgical expertise extends to more complex procedures, including tumour removals and soft tissue cancer excisions. We also specialise in Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) surgery, a procedure designed to alleviate breathing difficulties in flat-faced breeds such as French Bulldogs, Pugs, and Boston Terriers. By correcting airway obstructions, BOAS surgery can dramatically enhance a pet’s ability to breathe, exercise, and enjoy life.
Gastrointestinal & Organ
Our surgical team handles gastrointestinal procedures like biopsies and foreign body removal, as well as organ surgeries such as spleen removal and bladder stone removal.
Emergency & Critical
in emergencies, we provide critical surgeries like gastric dilation volvulus (GDV), caesarean sections, amputations, and anal gland abscess removal.
Prior to Admission
- Remove pet's food 12 hours prior to the surgery
- You can still offer their water bowl prior to admission.
- Continue with any regular medications as normal.
- Bathe you dog on the day prior to reduce risk of infection.
Post Surgery Care
- Keep their E-collar on during recovery (if wearing when discharged).
- They may be a bit off colour, but if they are seeking food, offer a small amount of soft food for easy digestion (unless instructed otherwise).
- Ensure plenty of fresh water is available.
- Keep the wound clean and dry and avoid getting it wet (no baths or swimming).
- Attend a post-operative check up (generally 10-14 days post-surgery).
- Contact the clinic immediately if you have any concerns.
