Dr Maria Cecilia Massoni Passos

Dr. Maria Cecilia (Ceci) was born and raised in Brazil where she completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sao Paulo in 2015. During the whole course of Uni, Ceci knew she wanted to dedicate her studies to surgery. Soon after finishing Uni, Ceci pursued a specialization in soft tissue surgery, her area of passion. She completed a post-graduation and a residency program in 2017. Ceci was then invited to be part of a surgeons’ team at one of the busiest hospitals in South America. During a year Ceci could follow up on several clinical cases and enhance her surgical skills.

In 2018 she decided to come to Australia to travel a bit around and improve her English. She fell in love with the country, decided to stay longer, and qualified her Vet degree here. She misses her two furry baby girls every day, Anabella and Morgana, kittens that were rescued when she was in her first year of Uni.

When not at work she loves sunny days at the beach, playing instruments, and spooky movies.

She can speak Portuguese (native) and Spanish.

Dr Ceci can’t wait to meet all of our clients and their beloved pets

Amy Sullivan

If you have been to the clinic lately, you may have come across Amy. Amy has worked in the area for the past 12 years (most recently just down the road at Templestowe Vet Clinic) and we are very lucky to have her join Dr Julian and the clinic in October 2019.

Originally from Albury, Amy completed her Animal Studies and Veterinarian Nurse qualifications in 2007.

Amy enjoys all aspects of the clinic, but the clients and patients are her passion and she has completed education in Frontline Management to continue to develop her knowledge.

When not at work, Amy likes to continue to explore Melbourne, whether it be getting out in nature for a walk or day trips to the beach. Amy is always on call by Bailey, her male ginger and white Domestic Medium Hair cat.

Be sure to say hello to Amy when you are next in.

Jen Cairns

Jen has recently moved to EDVH as our Practice Manager, after spending the last 17 years working in the Animal Welfare industry. With qualifications in marketing and management, Jen realised after completing her degree, that her passion and true happiness was with animals and quickly sought a career in this world.

From working in shelters as an animal attendant, to operations manager and everything in-between, Jen found that her ideal role was in a vet clinic as a Practice Manager. This role allows Jen to combine her love of animals and people to create wonderful relationships with our clients and excellent outcomes for all the patients that come through our door.  A firm believer in gold standard care, patient welfare and providing the very best in customer service, the move to EDVH was a natural choice and Jen is loving every minute of being a part of the team and meeting the amazing clients and their beloved pets.

Outside of work, Jen is kept extremely busy with a motley crew of 5 rescue dogs and 1 cat, a soccer mad teenager, netballing primary schooler and a lovely husband who is hoping a move to private practice might reduce the number of animals Jen brings home to live!

Please make sure you introduce yourself to Jen when you are next in the clinic, she can’t wait to meet you and your pets

Liana Kearney

Liana did competitive Horse Eventing as a youngster and started her employment in the Animal Care industry as a Groomer’s assistant in 1998. Shortly after, Liana studied for two years and obtained her Veterinary Nurse qualification before leaving to work in the UK for two years, getting experience in a wide range of emergency centres, including "live in" Vet Nurse positions.

Liana has been with EDVH since her return from the UK in 2002, now working part time whilst being a mum to two wonderful boys. She enjoys her furkids Zippy, a 10 year old black and white kitty kat, who was adopted by Liana after being left at EDVH as a tiny kitten and Flynn, a two year old Koolie x Kelpie (pictured)

Hannah Chambers

Hannah originally begun studying general nursing straight after high school. She completed multiple placements at hospitals in care for people, but knew it wasn’t quite her passion. Switching to veterinary nursing, Hannah finally found her niche, and officially joined our team in January 2022 after doing a few months of her Vet Nurse placement with us.

She has a very strong love and passion for animals and their wellbeing. Hannah particularly enjoys surgical nursing, but also loves to have a chat at reception too.

Hannah grew up with two gorgeous pugs ‘Rocky & Coco’, but mostly grew up with cats who she is particularly quite fond of. Hannah adopted a furry friend in January 2023 - 'Chino' from a rescue group we work closely with, he is a super cute Black and White DSH kitten!
Be sure to say hello to Hannah when you're next in!

Madeleine Davenport

Originally from South Australia, Madeleine made the move to Victoria in 2018 to spread her wings and find her place in the world.

She initially found herself working under an accountant as an assistant, but her two lifelong passions are animals and psychology, which lead her to completing her Certificate 2 in Animal Studies in 2020 and beginning her Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing in 2021. We were then lucky enough to have her officially join our team in March 2022 after completing a few months of her Vet Nurse placement with us!
Madeleine has three domestic short haired cats, Athena - a sassy calico, Nia - a special tabby, and Natah - a black ball of energy!
When she isn't working in the clinic or studying, she can usually be found cuddled up with her cats and a good book.
She also loves to crochet and bake - which we love because we get to eat her delicious goodies!
Madeleine is thrilled to be a part of the EDVH team and can't wait to meet you and your furry family members!

Shannan McLellan

Shannan has been a valuable member of our team since 2018.

Shannan has a Bachelor of Zoology, however has found her true passion in Veterinary Nursing. She is interested in the surgical side of the profession as well as being involved in solving and treating medical cases. She is also looking to advance her knowledge in Behaviour studies. Shannan's obsession with puppies is one of the reasons she successfully ran our Puppy Preschool Program before Nurse Liana took over in 2022! As well as being an excellent teacher, she will not hesitate to cuddle and play with any of the puppies that visit the clinic.

When she is not working, you will find Shannan playing football in her local comp, exploring the sites of Melbourne or simply reading a book in the sun at home.

Shannan is currently on Maternity Leave.
