Dr Julian Alexander

After graduating from Melbourne University in 1995, Julian’s vet career has been both extensive and diverse. He began in Regional Victoria in mixed animal practice and then spent several years working in the then the UK.

Julian has worked and owned veterinary practices in the surrounding community since 2010. He has extensive experience in orthopaedic injuries as well an interest in chemotherapy treatments.

Julian always endeavours to educate his clients and is always up for a conversation on the importance of dentistry. He also enjoys teaching and mentoring vet students and new graduates.

He is the proud father of Olive and James. They all have a love of pets and are devoted to looking after their own furry friends and any that come into their care.

When he is not spending time in the practice, Dr Julian is enjoying the outdoors with his children, watching Melbourne (AFL) or training on his bike for his next big riding challenge.

Dr Julian enjoys developing long term relationships with his clients and is looking forward to meeting you and caring for your family of pets.

Dr Loriana Cassarino

Loriana (a.k.a. Lori) graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2014. Since then, she has been working in small animal general practice. Lori enjoys all aspects of general practice, but dentistry and surgery are of particular interest to her. She is always up for a chat and is keen to help owners understand what’s best for their pets.

In her spare time, Lori enjoys playing netball, eating burgers and spending time with her food obsessed alarm clocks, Bettsy the labrador and Ralph the cat.

She hopes that one day Carlton will be great again and win a flag, and in the meantime she will never tip against them.

Lori is looking forward to getting to know the clients of EDVH and forming a strong bond with both pets and their owners.

Amy Sullivan

If you have been to the clinic lately, you may have come across Amy Sullivan. Amy has worked in the area for the past 8 years (most recently just down the road at Templestowe Vet Clinic) and we are very lucky to have her join Dr Julian and the clinic in October 2019.

Originally from Albury, Amy completed her Animal Studies and Veterinarian Nurse qualifications in 2007. She has lived in Melbourne for 9 years now and we are happy to hear she isn’t in a hurry to leave.

Amy enjoys all aspects of the clinic, but the clients and patients are her passion and she has completed education in Frontline Management to continue to develop her knowledge.

When not at work, Amy likes to continue to explore Melbourne, whether it be getting out in nature for a walk or day trips to the beach. Amy is always on call by Bailey, her male ginger and white Domestic Medium Hair cat.

Be sure to say hello to Amy when you are next in.

Shannan McLellan

Shannan has been a valuable member of our team since 2018. We are lucky that she now calls Melbourne home, after relocating from the sunny Central Coast in NSW.

Shannan has a Bachelor of Zoology, however has found her true passion in Veterinary Nursing. She is interested in the surgical side of the profession as well as being involved in solving and treating medical cases. She is also looking to advance her knowledge in Behaviour studies. Shannan’s obsession with puppies is one of the reasons she successfully runs our Puppy Preschool Program! As well as being an excellent teacher, she will not hesitate to cuddle and play with any of the puppies that visit the clinic.

Shannan has three dogs, Tess – a mini foxy, Marley – a maltese cross and Melody – a chocolate labrador, and looks forward to growing her furry animal family in the future.

When she is not working, you will find Shannan playing football in her local comp, exploring the sites of Melbourne or simply reading a book in the sun at home.

Shannan is excited to meet you all!
