Dr Maria Cecilia Massoni Passos

Dr. Maria Cecilia (Ceci) was born and raised in Brazil where she completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sao Paulo in 2015. During the whole course of Uni, Ceci knew she wanted to dedicate her studies to surgery. Soon after finishing Uni, Ceci pursued a specialization in soft tissue surgery, her area of passion. She completed a post-graduation and a residency program in 2017. Ceci was then invited to be part of a surgeons’ team at one of the busiest hospitals in South America. During a year Ceci could follow up on several clinical cases and enhance her surgical skills.

In 2018 she decided to come to Australia to travel a bit around and improve her English. She fell in love with the country, decided to stay longer, and qualified her Vet degree here. She misses her two furry baby girls every day, Anabella and Morgana, kittens that were rescued when she was in her first year of Uni.

When not at work she loves sunny days at the beach, playing instruments, and spooky movies.

She can speak Portuguese (native) and Spanish.

Dr Ceci can’t wait to meet all of our clients and their beloved pets

OUR TEAM

Jen Cairns – Practice Manager

Jen joined EDVH as our Practice Manager, after spending the last 17 years working in the Animal Welfare industry. With qualifications in marketing and management, Jen realised after completing her degree, that her passion and true happiness was with animals and quickly sought a career in this world.

From working in shelters as an animal attendant, to operations manager and everything in-between, Jen found that her ideal role was in a vet clinic as a Practice Manager. This role allows Jen to combine her love of animals and people to create wonderful relationships with our clients and excellent outcomes for all the patients that come through our door.  A firm believer in gold standard care, patient welfare and providing the very best in customer service, the move to EDVH was a natural choice and Jen is loving every minute of being a part of the team and meeting the amazing clients and their beloved pets.

Outside of work, Jen is kept extremely busy with a motley crew of 5 rescue dogs and 1 cat, a soccer mad teenager, netballing primary schooler and a lovely husband who is hoping a move to private practice might reduce the number of animals Jen brings home to live!

Please make sure you introduce yourself to Jen when you are next in the clinic, she can’t wait to meet you and your pets
